Quality Assurance Officers

All candidates must have a minimum of two years of editing experience in an Acute Care setting, Emergency Department, Hospital or Multispecialty Clinic setting.

We look for the following qualities in preferred candidates.

• Ability to work in all work types and specialties.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, disease processes, signs and symptoms, medications, and laboratory values.
• Quality transcription work with a goal of maintaining accuracy score of 99% or higher.
• Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines (The AAMT Book of Style, JCAHO) and practices.
• Ability to understand diverse accents, dialects, and varying dictation styles.
• Acute auditory sensitivity
• Recognize, interpret, and evaluate inconsistencies, discrepancies, and inaccuracies in medical text drafts and/or dictation appropriately to clarify, flag, or report them, as needed.
